Mind Over Mat: Building Mental Strength in Gymnastics

We’re excited to introduce Mind Over Mat: Building Mental Strength in Gymnastics, a new mental performance program for our Level 3 and up athletes! In partnership with Humanmind, LLC, our competitive team gymnasts will participate in monthly, structured group sessions led by Isabella Montgomery (Bella), MSW, LSW, CSSW.

Competitive gymnastics places significant mental and emotional demands on athletes. While physical training is a core focus, structured mental performance support can be less accessible, especially at he youth level. Through Mind Over Mat, Bella will work with our athletes to help them manage nerves, build confidence, overcome mental blocks, support emotional well-being, and strengthen team communication.

The program is designed to give our athletes practical tools to build resilience, develop healthy coping strategies, and grow their confidence both in and out of the gym. To learn more about this partnership and Bella, check out her bio here!
