Meet Our Board
The JOYS Gymnastics Board is made up of dedicated community members, parents, and professionals who are passionate about supporting the mission of JOYS. Together, our board works to ensure that children and families in the Michiana community have access to high-quality gymnastics opportunities at an affordable cost. Each member brings unique experiences, skills, and perspectives, united by a shared commitment to fostering growth, confidence, and excellence both in and out of the gym.
Dana Schrader
President
Dana Schrader is a Business Intelligence Professional in the Office of Information Technologies at the University of Notre Dame. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics from Saint Mary's College and a Master's of Business Administration from Indiana University. She is excited to bring her love of numbers and data to help JOYS make more data-driven decisions.
When she is not working, Dana's focus is on her family. You'll find her cheering on her kids at gymnastics meets (her youngest is on the Joys team), the softball field and at marching band competitions (or driving them to various other school clubs and events). She's also an amateur backyard beekeeper with her husband.
Andrea Pauwels-Potgiesser

Andrea Pauwels-Potgiesser brings both professional expertise and a passion for community to her role as Vice President of Joys Gymnastics. With a background in accounting and human resources, Andrea enjoys finding ways to help organizations grow, strengthen their foundations, and reach their full potential. She has a special heart for nonprofit work and values creating spaces where children and families feel supported.
Beyond Joys Gymnastics, Andrea is actively involved in supporting her children’s interests in Girl Scouts, Girls on the Run, theatre, and other activities. She is proud to contribute her skills and energy to Joys Gymnastics and is dedicated to ensuring the gym continues to be a place where athletes can thrive in confidence, character, and community.
Pamela Smith
Treasurer
Pamela Smith has been a small business owner for more than 20 years and brings that experience to her role on the Joys Gymnastics board. She is passionate about helping all children have access to the gym’s programs and the opportunities they provide. In her free time, Pamela enjoys reading and spending time with her family.
Stephanie Foreman
Secretary
Steph Foreman has been involved at Joys Gymnastics as a parent, employee, or board member for approximately 10 years. She currently has a daughter on the team and twin boys in classes. Steph is passionate about the Joys Gymnastic program and wants the sport of gymnastics to be more accessible to children in the Michiana area. Steph enjoys thinking of different ways to help Joys grow and improve focusing on the grounds and building during semester breaks.
Steph is currently an adjunct English professor at some local colleges and an ED nurse in Michigan. Most of her free time is spent in the gym and she greatly enjoys watching the athletes learn new skills and conquer their fears. Steph is excited to serve on the board as secretary for this term and is open to any constructive criticism or ideas people have for the future success of Joys Gymnastics.
